Derek Fisher hasn't played big minutes this season, which is just as Lakers coach Phil Jackson planned. Fisher has averaged 27 minutes per game through the season's first 40 contests, which actually might be a little more than Jackson wanted.

費舍爾本賽季出場的時間並不多，事實上這正是主教練傑克遜自己計劃中的。在湖人如今已經打的40場比賽中，費舍爾場均出戰27分鐘，僅管老魚在個人狀態和數據上都呈現出下滑的趨勢，但是禪師依然對他鐘愛有加，認為他是最能領會三角戰術精髓戰術的控衛。

Fisher's minutes and his scoring are down slightly from last season, but Jackson has made it clear the veteran point guard remains an important part of the Lakers' makeup. Fisher is averaging 7.0 points, down from 9.9 points in 29.8 minutes in 2008-09.Jackson said he has no plans to remove Fisher from key situations, however.

2008-2009賽季的時候費舍爾場均出戰29.8分鐘，有9.9分入賬，而本賽季他的出場時間有所減少，場均也只有7分入賬。但是即使如此，禪師依然表示，他無意將費舍爾排除在主力陣容之外。

"Obviously, we play really well when he's on the floor, because he's got a knowledge of how we want to play at critical times, getting off the gun, starting halves, bringing concepts to the game when we want to change," Jackson said.

“很明顯，在他登場時，我們的表現非常出色。因為他是一名知道如何在關鍵時候打球的隊員，是那種隨時隨刻能夠把槍的球員，開始我們的半場陣地戰。當我們需要在比賽中進行改變的話，他總能為球員們引導不同的比賽理念。”傑克遜說。

Fisher was not on the floor at the end of the Lakers' victory Friday over the Clippers because the game was decided by the third quarter.

He scored only four points on 2-for-5 shooting, but had eight rebounds and six assists in less than 20 minutes.

老魚5頭2中雖然只有4分入賬，但是在不到二十分鐘的時間裡卻有8籃板6助攻的數據。

He also played strong defense against Baron Davis, his Clippers counterpart. He goaded Davis into a flagrant-1 foul when he and Pau Gasol trapped Davis along the sideline. Davis swung one elbow at Fisher and then struck Gasol.

他同時還給快船控衛巴郎戴維斯極大的防守壓力，刺激戴維斯吃了個技術犯規。在他和加索爾在底線夾擊他，戴維斯揮肘襲擊加索爾。

Jackson later praised Fisher for his rebounding.

"The game ball went to Fisher, to be honest with you," Jackson said.

"He had eight rebounds and led us in rebounding."

Fisher's contract is up at season's end, and there are questions about his future as the Lakers' starter. He turns 36 in August and it might seem the Lakers could use a faster and younger man playing the point in their triangle offense.

費舍爾的合同這個賽季就到期，到8月份的時候他就已經36歲了，屆時湖人是否還會續約老魚成為一大問題。至少現在這個時候，湖人需要為他們的三角進攻體系尋找一名速度更快，也更年輕的球員。

Jackson has declined to send Fisher out to pasture, however.

對於這個問題禪師選擇閉口不談。

In fact, Jackson has been one of Fisher's biggest supporters.

然而事實上禪師是老魚最大的支持者。

"Fisher really has that moxie and ability to (direct the Lakers in the triangle)," Jackson said. "Those are important (skills). If we don't need him to finish a game, if our guard corps is playing really well, it's a good opportunity to sit and rest him, though."

“費舍爾的身上確實有著三角進攻方面指導湖人的勇氣和能力”傑克遜說“這些都是相當重要的比賽技能，若是我們不需要他終結比賽，又或是我們的後場球員大的真的相當出色的話，那麼這就是讓他休息的絕好機會。”
