2020梯次的美國籃球名人堂頒獎典禮，由於疫情的關係從去年延到今天，而入選的NBA退役球星有 Kobe（Kobe Bryant）、「TD」鄧肯（Tim Duncan）與「KG」賈奈特（Kevin Garnett），已逝世的 Kobe 則由大女兒娜塔莉亞（Natalia Bryant）代表受獎。整場典禮最感人的一刻，莫過於在為娜塔莉亞披上名人堂橙外套時，全場觀禮者一起吶喊「Kobe、Kobe、Kobe......」。



本次入選名人堂的美國籃球界人士中，最醒目的莫過於 Kobe、TD 和 KG，堪稱是近年最耀眼的名人堂梯次，畢竟這三人幾乎是同期的NBA超強競爭者，生涯囊括了11座總冠軍、4次例行賽MVP以及48次入選全明星賽，除了上述三人之外，另外入選者包括四屆奧運金牌得主凱欽絲（Tamika Catchings）、1994-95年率領火箭連霸總冠軍的教頭湯加諾維奇（Rudy Tomjanovich）、美國大學男籃教頭沙頓（Eddie Sutton）、大學女籃教頭穆爾基（Kim Mulkey）和史蒂文斯（Barbara Stevens）。





最遺憾的當然莫過於 Kobe 已無法親自到場，但大家的得獎發言始終圍繞著 Kobe，馬刺巨星鄧肯就表示：「最強悍的競爭者激發最好的你，這就是 Kobe 所表現的，而你對上他時也永遠要拿出最好的表現，從比賽開始的第一秒到最後一秒。我非常感激我擁有那些和 Kobe 對陣的回憶，他是一個無畏的競爭者、持續鞭策他的球隊，也逼使他的隊友們追求最好的表現。他就是如此渴望勝利，今天能夠與他一起分享這份榮耀，是我的榮幸。」



生涯待過灰狼、塞爾提克和籃網的賈奈特也對 Kobe 有很多話要說：「今天，Kobe 無法到場，我們都感同身受，大家的情緒都有些激動。而回顧我們三人的生涯，其實一路上都不斷鞭策另外兩人，無論是獎項、總決賽甚至是全明星賽。如今能夠一起入選名人堂.....或許我找不到比他倆更好的人選了。」而  Kobe、TD 和 KG 三人都是在2016年退役。



至於 Kobe 則由現今開始投入模特兒事業的大女兒娜塔莉亞代表受獎，特別的是，遺孀凡妮莎（Vanessa Bryant）這回也特別在頒獎典禮旁設計了 Kobe 的紀念展覽活動，會場內可以看到Kobe 生涯的球衣、球鞋、獎座以及各種生涯榮耀精彩畫面，而在娜塔莉亞代替父親披上橙色西裝的時候，全場也爆出「Kobe、Kobe、Kobe......」的吶喊。
