Ishiba urges creation of Japanese marine corps
石破茂敦促創建日本海軍陸戰隊

A senior member of the governing coalition has called for Japan to form its own marine corps to take over some of the functions of US troops stationed in Japan.
執政聯盟中的一位資深官員要求日本創建自己的海軍陸戰隊 來接掌駐日美軍的一些職務

The secretary general of the Liberal Democratic Party, Shigeru Ishiba, made the suggestion in a speech on Monday in Fukuoka city, western Japan.
自由民主黨的秘書長 石破茂 於週一在日本西部福岡市的演說中做此提議

The proposal came amid his comments on reducing the burden of Okinawa, which hosts many US bases. The southernmost prefecture is involved in a controversial relocation of the US Marines Futenma Air Station.
他在減少沖繩負擔的建議中提出這個建議 有許多美軍基地坐落沖繩 這個位在日本最西南的縣 正牽扯進普天間美國海軍陸戰隊飛行場改變基地位址的爭議中

Ishiba said people across Japan need to consider how the country can realize two distinct goals --- maintaining deterrence and easing Okinawa's burden.
石破茂說 全日本的人必須考慮到要如何完成兩個明確的目標---保持威攝力並且減輕沖繩的負擔

He then said Japan should create a marine force that combines the functions of air, maritime and ground troops, as it has many islands to protect.
他又說 由於日本擁有許多島嶼要保護 所以應該建設一支海軍陸戰隊 該陸戰隊應該包含空中海上與陸上部隊
