“China's military power ranks Four, according to Jane's defence weekly
Recently, Jane’s defense weekly of the UK published the newest rank of world military powers. China ranks the forth place and the top five of the list are United States of America, France, Russia, China and United Kingdom.
As an authoritive defense weekly in western world, Jane’s pointed out the reference aspects when ranking the powers. The aspects include military expenditure, military theories, the level of advanced technology, power in self-development and economic basis.
Jane’s gave a very simple depiction on the US and the UK, but make more comments on China’s current military situation. The reasons that China ranks the forth place, according to Jane’s, are Chinese government has made effort in increasing military expenditure, developing and importing advanced military technologies.
China’s technology in space and missile have lefe Europe behind and the army put more emphasis on information construction. However, the infrastructure of China is relatively weak, which would directly influence the quality of weapon production, quoted from Jane’s.
