德商東興洋行修復完工將重新串連安平古堡、億載金城、安平樹屋等周邊人文景點，讓旅遊觀光、人文藝術、文資保存的安平特色景點區域重歸完整。
The completion of the restoration of the German business “Julius Mannich & CO.” will reconnect the surrounding cultural attractions, such as Anping Fort (Dutch Fort Zeelandia), Eternal Golden Castle, Anping Tree House, etc. These will restore Anping characteristic scenic spots with tourism, humanities, arts, and cultural resources preservation.
鴉片戰爭以前清朝在廣州經營對外貿易的行商即是洋行，東興洋行(1875-1880)為台灣僅存的德國洋行建築，該洋行與當時怡記、和記、德記(英商)、唻記(美商)合稱「安平五大洋行」，屬國家三級古蹟，目前僅存原英商德記洋行與原德商東興洋行。
Before the Opium War, the merchant of Qing Dynasty in Guangzhou for foreign trade was the foreign firm. Julius Mannich & CO. (1875-1880) was the only surviving German foreign firm in Taiwan, with Elles & Co., Boyd & Co., Tait & Co. (British Merchants), and Wright & Co. 東興洋行亦是德商在台所曾開設的八處洋行中唯一留存，見證《天津條約》後安平開港、洋商來台從事國際貿易的歷史，以及安平海岸線變遷，也記錄台灣中南部的產業活動與貿易發展。

因應台灣特殊氣候，德商東興洋行發展出拱廊形式建築，屋頂採用傳統屋瓦蓋成，室內兩側為房間(設有壁爐)，分為六個展覽室，閣樓部份封閉。
In response to the special climate in Taiwan, the German-sponsored Julius Mannich & CO. developed an arcade-style building, which roof is made of traditional tiles. The two sides of the interior are rooms (with fireplaces), divided into six exhibition rooms, and the attic is closed.
東興洋行參觀分為免費、優待票和全票，門票的金額可全額折抵消費。

館內設置水母展間『珍珠水母』、『海月水母』、『海蜇水母』、『倒立水母』、『大西洋海刺水母』，另一區是水族區『珊瑚』、『清潔蝦』、『雀鯛』、『泗水玫瑰』、『多莉』、『小丑魚』，喜歡顏色繽紛海底世界的朋友可以點杯飲料坐觀，感受141年前東興洋行景象。
