Thenew Toyota Urban Cruiser has muscular wheel arches which areaccentuated by black front and rear bumper underguards as well as blackside rocker panel mouldings. Exterior fittings include a high-placedLED brake light at the rear and integrated rear foglights.

The vehicle comes in 2WD and 4WD systems with the latter fitted withToyota’s Active Torque Control all-wheel drive system which canvary torque distribution between 100:0 and 50:50 front to rear,depending on road conditions.

The five-seater Urban Cruiser will be offered with two engines, a1.3-litre VVT-i petrol with 100bhp (75kW) and 132Nm of torque, and a1.4-litre D-4D AWD with 89bhp (66kW) and maximum torque of 205Nmbetween 1,800rpm and 2,800rpm. Toyota says the 1.4 D-4D has the lowestC02 emissions for any AWD passenger car at 130g/km. Its average fuelconsumption figure is 57.7mpg. Both engine types make use of a 6-speedtransmission.
